Women's Health Promotion Group
Starting Early June 2010
The group will comprise of six closed group sessions. The group will only have the capacity to allow for six participants. Women will be allocated a place on a first come first served basis and only those who have completed the relevant registration form will be considered for a place in the group.
The aim of the group is to empower and inform women on how to live a healthier lifestyle both in general and also in areas more specific to women’s health. Participants will be encouraged to participate around the subjects being discussed and bring their own knowledge of the subject and life experiences into the group discussion.
The group will be facilitated by Jules Tennick who is a registered and experienced Environmental Health Officer and a registered Occupational Therapist with experience of facilitating groups. She is qualified to degree level in both professions. She has knowledge and experience in both health promotion and health related conditions.
Subjects of the group sessions will include healthy eating, exercise, healthy heart, avoiding cervical cancer and breast cancer, osteoporosis and women’s sexual health.

Please note that a £5 refundable deposit is payable in advance of the course.
We also suggest a £2 weekly donation to cover overheads and tea/coffee etc.
